Anwar's way of uniting all Malaysians and not dividing the country's people by race. Anwar explained in a public talk on YouTube and Facebook video recording in which he narrates (page 145) to villagers, intellectuals and professionals request him: "Can you delink a little bit with the DAP?"
Anwar rhetorically replies. "But why? So, what's wrong with the Chinese? What's the problem? Do you think they choose to be Chinese? Are they born to be Chinese, yeah? They don't choose to be Chinese. I don't choose to be a Malay. I am proud to be a Malay. Who decides what race you are born into? Do you think you want to be smarter than God? Stupid Fool. We got to realise it's not our decision to be born in whatever race."
