Barcelona Just Too Good - No Doubt About It!
No match to Barcelona.
Just too good.
I am very sure not even any national team in the world can match this Barcelona team.
Even almost all Man U's proven machines were shut down, like Valencia, Giggs, Chicharito, Vidic and company, could not do anything but stunned and muted!
This Barcelona team deserve to be the champ, no doubt about it and no excuses could be offered!
Anyway, though Man U lost, I really satisfied to watch the game because it's really worth to watch such game, not like some national teams, just won a small tournament but made hell of a noise, thinking they have arrived but flopped in the next game!
Then there is, Iker the so-called psychic-octopus, you are wrong this time and you can't take over the trade Paul had made it famous!

Champions League - Manchester United to beat Barcelona!
Manchester United has the great chance to dispose Barcelona in the Champions League final at London's Wembley stadium tomorrow 2.45 am Malaysian time if the Man U players employ the following strategies;1. Prevent Barca players the luxury of passing game. This means the Man U players must employ close and tight man-to-man marking whenever the Barca players have the ball.
2. United players must cut out Barca from ball possession even from the back of their half. Get someone like Park Ji-Sung, O'shea, Flecher or anyone of the de Silva twins, who has proven strong and competent to able to mark tightly on the Barca playmaker Xavi. Similarly Man U must also prevent Barca midfielder Andes Iniesta the freedom of ball possession where most probably many will come from the passing game with Xavi and the other midfielder. The midfielders are the most lethal weapon for Barcelona and if this is successfully cut off bu Man U, then Messi, the little mouse might also be starved of ball feeding for him to shoot at Man U's goal. Whoever Sir Alex Ferguson lines up in his team, he must take into consideration of this aspect and I believe Ferguson, the great strategist knows about this.
3. By employing man-to-man marking, the Barca players will have limited freedom to push deeply into Man U's half, thus reduce Barca's chance to shoot at Man U's goal.
6. Finally, from the experience of the last Champions League game between Man Utd and Barcelona where Man Utd was beaten 2-0, Barca players tend to cheat or used ungentlemanly methods to lure Man U players to react in such a way that allow the referee to punish Man U's players and to give unnecessary advantage to Barcelona to outwit Man Utd. Thus United players must always be diligent, patient and have lots of self control when dealing with Barca's players even tough they employ the tight and close man-to-man marking. This is to prevent the referee from flashing out any yellow card or red card which definitely would disrupt Man U's rhythm of play. The last time the sides met clearly showed this trend. Man U was controlling the game from the start till when Man U players were flashed with yellow cards and Vidic was punished with red card.
My desire is to see Manchester United to beat this so-called magnificent and great football team of Barcelona.
Come early morning of Sunday, 29 May 2011, the world will greet the new world champion, Manchester United.
This year Champion League final seems to be grander than the World Cup final between Spain and Holland in 2010. But alas, Paul the Octopus was not around to pick the winner.

Van der Sar To Retire?
Ferguson expects Van der Sar to retire at end of season
The 40-year-old Dutch keeper’s retirement has been on the cards for some time and United have been preparing to have to fill some big boots by bringing in Dane Anders Lindegaard, who will be registered with the club early next month.
“We’re planning for it to be possibly Edwin’s last season,” Ferguson told a news conference.

P/S: Surely, Man U die-hard supporters will miss you. If possible you play until you 50, that definitely be the world record!

Paul the Octopus Dies
World Cup soccer’s psychic octopus dies in GermanyOctober 26, 2010
BERLIN, Oct 26 – Paul, the oracle octopus who shot to fame in the World Cup this summer for his uncanny ability to predict the results of Germany’s soccer matches, has died at his home in Oberhausen at the age of two.
Staff at the Oberhausen Sea Life Centre in western Germany said in a statement they were “devastated” to learn of Paul’s death when they returned to work today.
“He appears to have passed away peacefully during the night, of natural causes, and we are consoled by the knowledge that he enjoyed a good life,” said the centre’s manager Stefan Porwoll.
Before matches, two containers of food were placed in the eight-legged creature’s tank, each one bearing the flag of one of the teams about to compete for their chance to become world champions. The container Paul picked first was seen as his pick.
Following the World Cup, a Spanish zoo made a transfer bid for Paul but his German keepers refused to sell.
Paul will be kept in cold storage until the centre decides how to mark the mollusc’s extraordinary life, Porwoll added.
“We may decide to give Paul his own small burial plot within our grounds and erect a modest permanent shrine,” he said.
Paul, who was hatched in Weymouth, England, may yet continue to dazzle the world with predictions from beyond the grave.
A Russian newspaper said in July it had got Paul to predict who would be Russia’s next president – but that the results would be kept secret until the election year of 2012.
Sea Life said Paul would live on as the object of a host of commercial enterprises ranging from special clothing lines to mobile phone applications inspired by his fame in Oberhausen, one of Germany’s most cash-strapped cities.
Meanwhile, donations made in honour of Paul’s achievements would help to fund a planned permanent rescue centre for sea turtles on the Greek island of Zakynthos, Sea Life said. – Reuters

Rooney's U-Turn
Shock change of heart as Rooney stays at United
The England striker had looked destined to leave Old Trafford in the next transfer window after saying two days ago that he wanted to quit because of United’s lack of clout in attracting more top players to the club.
He attributed his change of heart to manager Alex Ferguson, whom Rooney called a “genius” and said had convinced him that he belonged at United.
Ferguson, who had been visibly shaken this week when describing how his striker had wanted to quit, said Rooney had apologised to him and the players and had changed his mind after understanding “what a great club Manchester United is”.
But Rooney, who earlier this month publicly contradicted Ferguson by saying he was not injured when his manager said he was, still faces the tricky job of winning over fans who feel betrayed.
“I’m delighted to sign another deal at United. In the last couple of days, I’ve talked to the manager and the owners and they’ve convinced me this is where I belong,” Rooney said in a statement.

Now Paul the Octopus Is Helping England!
Fri Aug 20 11:09am PDT Paul supports England bid
By Brooks Peck
It's been more than a month since Spain won the World Cup and Paul the octopus won the hearts of the human world (except the Dutch) by perfectly predicting the winners of Germany's seven matches and Spain's victory in the final. But his fame and influence are apparently holding strong as he nears the end of his life expectancy.
With starring roles in Chinese movies, book deals and a line of merchandise all in the works, Paul's German handlers are cashing in on his stardom and giving the proceeds to charity. Paul isn't just working for the Germans, though. He's also been hired to support the country in which he was first hatched, England, as it bid to host the 2018 World Cup.
Competing against Russia, the U.S. (which is more likely to get the 2022 World Cup), Australia, and joint bids from Spain and Portugal, and Holland and Belgium, England brought on Paul to be the big gun in its arsenal of celebrity supporters that also includes David Beckham, Sting and Oasis' Noel Gallagher.
"Paul has spent the last two years of his life in Germany, but he is definitely a proud Englishman and is therefore delighted to put his support behind England 2018," said Nicola Hamilton, manager at the Weymouth Sea Life Centre in southern England, where Paul was born.
"We have had a number of football approaches from around the world but Paul was only ever going to choose his homeland."
...unless the others offered a more delicious-looking mussel for him to choose.
While you may rightfully doubt just how capable of being a "proud Englishman" Paul is, another member of the England bid team has high hopes for the octopus' influence (via Huffington Post):
"Paul the Octopus is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in football," former England winger John Barnes said [thoroughly depressing millions of humans who have devoted their lives to the sport --Ed.]. "Huge numbers of people will follow Paul's lead and back the bid."

Which Country Going To Win The 2010 FIFA World Cup?
London, Dec 5 (ANI): A massively detailed stats analysis has revealed that Brazil has the maximum chance of lifting the World Cup in South Africa next year, followed by Spain, England and Holland.
According to the predictions by Castrol, who have examined all possible results from every game in the tournament, with a 23.6 percent chance, Brazil are the favorites to win the trophy, followed by Spain on 16.1 per cent, England on 10.4 per cent and Holland on 10.1 per cent.
The predictions involved more than 20,000 calculations, and took into account the form of each nation’s attack and defense. They also looked at overall form in the last five years, with the most recent results counting for more, The Sun reported.
The data also shows that England have a 90.2 per cent chance of going through from Group C, where they were drawn alongside the USA, Algeria and Slovenia.
Four countries, Algeria, Slovenia, North Korea and New Zealand have been given no chance of victory. (ANI)
