A WALL FULL OF MEMORIES
by Anonymous
My father had grown old. He would often take support of the wall while walking. Gradually, his fingerprints started appearing on the walls—marks that silently told the story of his growing weakness and dependency.
My wife didn’t like this. She would often complain that the walls were getting dirty. One day, Father had a headache. He applied oil to his head and again used the wall for support, leaving behind faint oil stains.
My wife got upset and scolded me. Frustrated, I turned to father and harshly told him not to touch the walls anymore.
He became quiet. I saw pain in his eyes. Though I felt ashamed, I remained silent.
After that day, father stopped using the wall for support. But one day, he lost his balance and fell. His hip bone broke. Though surgery was done, his body couldn't recover. Within a few days… he left us.
There was deep regret in my heart. I could never forget the look in his eyes—or forgive myself.
Later, we decided to repaint the house. When the painters came, my son—who was very close to his grandfather—insisted that the portions of the wall with Grandpa’s fingerprints should not be painted over.
The painters were kind and creative. They promised not to erase the marks. Instead, they painted beautiful round patterns around them so that the prints became part of the wall’s design.
And so it happened. Gradually, those marks became the identity of our home. Guests would often admire that part of the wall, unaware of the story it told.
Time passed. I too grew old. One day, while walking, I needed to support myself on the wall. I hesitated, remembering what I had said to my father — and tried to walk without support.
My son was watching. He immediately came and said, “Papa, please take the support of the wall — you might fall.” And then my granddaughter ran up to me and said, “Dadu, hold my shoulder instead!”_
Tears rolled down my cheeks.
I wished I had done the same for my father… maybe he would have been with us a little longer.
They helped me to the sofa. Then my granddaughter brought her drawing book. Her teacher had praised her latest painting.
It was a drawing of that wall — the one with Grandpa’s fingerprints. Below the picture, she had written:
“We want every child to love their elders like this.”
I went to my room, whispered a sorry to my father... and cried a lot.
One day, we will all grow old too. If you still have elders in your home, care for them. Love them. Respect them.
*And teach your children to do the same — by your example.
P/S 1: This story touched me deeply. I wanted to share it with friends who, like me, are entering the age where we begin to say goodbye to the previous generation and ourselves.
P/S 2: I wonder how the wife felt ?
The similar regret I am feeling over busy-bodies who used to interfere or forced themselves into my family affairs ever since my marriage that mostly led to arguments with my late wife....😔
If you were still around with our children and me, today would be your 67th lunar birthday (Lunar Calender 28th day 5th month - 23rd June 2025). Regret, in realty you had gone. Today I come to pray for you posthumously to celebrate your birthday. May you always be in peace, comfort and under God's Grace, blessing and protection.

An interesting piece from a Malaysian?
A brilliant essay written by a Grade 8 student.
No doubt research was done extensively.
*With the Blessings of Thieves!*
A school teacher assigned homework to the children about thieves — asking them to write an essay on the topic.
One clever student from 8th grade wrote the following essay.
Thieves are also an important part of our country’s economy.
They significantly contribute to employment generation and the nation’s development.
You might be surprised to read this — let me shed a little light on it.
Safes, locks, lockers, cupboards — all these are made because of thieves.
Many factories and workshops that manufacture these items provide employment thanks to this profession.
Even at home, the need to install window grills, latches, and stronger doors gives work to carpenters and laborers.
For the protection of homes, shops, schools, colleges, offices, and factories, it becomes necessary to hire guards and watchmen.
People get jobs in companies that make CCTV cameras, metal detectors, and security systems.
Because of thieves, police, courts, judges, lawyers, and other staff also get employment.
For the police — barricades, weapons, bullets, sticks, uniforms, vehicles, and motorcycles are all bought, boosting the economy.
Thanks to thieves, we have jails, jailers, and jail staff who are employed.
Also, when mobiles, laptops, cars, motorcycles, electrical appliances, purses, lipsticks, and other such items are stolen — people have to buy them again, which increases trade and boosts business.
Famous and notorious thieves often end up in politics, leading to even bigger thefts.
Much more can be said — the contribution of thieves to our country’s economy is indeed very significant !
The teacher awarded this research-filled essay a full 100% marks and included the student in the merit list !😀. "
I like the 2nd last para, the part when the student mentioned that the notorious and famous thieves often ended in politics. Indeed very true. We do have plenty of them already in the govt, some ended up as PM and DPM.

A WIFE IS PRECIOUS GIFT OF GOD. PRESERVE HER ESTEEM WITH LOVE AND CARE

Man’s seed and woman’s womb. But wait... is it only the womb ? No, no! A woman’s body has to be ready for this.
A man’s seed can be strong at 13 or even at 70 years. But a strong womb is very important, so good health is needed. A woman whose period comes on time every month. Yes, the same period that every woman bears every month. They bear it because it’s not their choice. It is a rule given by nature.
During periods, the body aches, the back feels like it’s broken, legs hurt so much. It feels like someone put stones inside. The pain shakes the whole body. Because of people’s bad thoughts, women hide all this pain.
Giving birth means facing pain that is very hard to bear. They have to be strong in mind and body. Pain like many bones breaking at once.
In the first 3 to 4 months of pregnancy, the body changes a lot and hormones make them sick, tired, and sad. They have to be strong in mind for this too.
From the 5th to 9th month, they carry the heavy belly and do all work. Sometimes they get many injections because of special reasons. (Once even one injection felt too much.)
They bear many hours or even days of pain during childbirth. If the baby doesn’t come, they even go through surgery to take the baby out. They carry stretch marks and scars on their body forever. Sometimes after birth, if milk is less, they drink medicines and herbs to make more. They lose sleep but don’t stop caring day or night.
For 3 years, they live only for the child and still say yes to pregnancy again. This is how a woman feels inside — something a man can hardly understand.
A woman is a power, a sacrifice. She goes through so much and still cares for your likes and dislikes. The one who should be worshipped is treated like a thing. She controls her life, her happiness, and still calls herself a man.
If men are so proud of their manhood, try living as a woman for just one day. If your pride doesn’t break, then say something. Remember, those who don’t respect women, Don’t know what respect really means.
P/S: However no respect for those women who never respect, busy-bodying and dramatizing events on others' family life.
WHAT ARE ATTRACTIVE, FUN AND ENJOYING
By Najeebullah Sadeqi ·
Don't spend so much time trying to be more physically attractive in order to just impress your crush rather than making yourself mentally attractive.
Educate yourself, address your recurring toxic thoughts, deal with your insecurities and learn to be happy on your own. That's attractive.
Normalise saying "No" without needing to over-explain yourself. If someone is offended by your boundaries, that's their problem. The best weight you'll ever lose is the weight of other people's opinion of you.
Don't subscribe to other people's definition of "fun". Fun doesn't have to mean drinking, partying and socialising. Fun can be a night in alone, getting lost in a book, a deep conversation, a walk, creating art, playing music, or doing your work. Fun is yours; you define it.
Just before you get married, discuss bills, parenting styles, credit, debt, how to deal with family, what belief will be installed in your children, childhood traumas, sexual expectations, partner expectations, family health history, bucket list, dream home, career and education, political view and whatever else comes in mind. Love is not enough.
The age of 15-30 is the golden era of your life. You make friends, lose them too. You make mistakes, correct them too. You fall, you fail, you learn, you realise, you hit reality, you fall in love, you get hurt too. You lose yourself and eventually become stronger.
Remember! These might be the best years of your life. You should understand the difference between enjoying it and ruining it.
Be healed before having children so your children don't have to heal from having you as a parent.
15 WEEKS (105 DAYS) YOU HAD GONE TO MEET THE CREATOR
MAY GOD'S GRACE BE BLESSED UPON YOUR SOUL FOREVER AND REST IN PEACE
